In July of 2013, Team Flying Scarfs partnered with Maisha International Orphanage and traveled to Kisumu, Kenya. In the rural areas of Nyanza in Kenya, countless thousands of people live on less than $2 USD per day. Team Flying Scarfs saw first hand how poverty and the increasing spread of diseases have created orphans and widows of children and women. Maisha strives to help feed children and to keep women employed. We have partnered with Maisha to help women rise out of poverty by selling their hand-crafted clutches.
